Wind Tunnel

In a project sponsored by the NSF, students designed, manufactured, and demonstrated a lift mechanics tool for visually-impaired students. The tool allows blind students to experience aerodynamic concepts of lift and drag in a tactile manner, making it easier for them to understand concepts that may be traditionally harder to grasp without visual understanding. The research group has demonstrated the wind tunnel at schools for the blind and having access to such a device inspired many of the students' interest in engineering and aeronautics.
